Invitation to the Conference and Plenary Meeting of the Permanent Committee on Cadastre in the European Union

Bucharest, Romania 6 - 7 June, 2019
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Colleagues,

This year, for the first time since its accession to the European Union, Romania holds the six- month Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

In this European context, on behalf of the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration, I am honored to invite you to the Conference and Plenary Meeting of the Permanent Committee on Cadastre in the EU. The event will take place during 6th - 7th of June 2019 in Bucharest, at Diesel Hotel and shall be organized in collaboration with the EuroGeographics CLRKEN.

The motto chosen to represent this semester’s Presidency of the Council of European Union is: "Cohesion - a common European value" and symbolizes the Member States’ determination to act together for stability and prosperity. Cohesion is a concept that supports European construction, strengthens and harmonises economies and reduces disparities between regions.

Land ownership rights represent an essential pillar for economic policies’ implementation, and this is why we have chosen "The Economic Impact of the Cadastre for the Society" as the theme for the PCC conference.

It will, for sure, provide us with the perfect framework to share experiences, assess progress and work together for the future harmonization and development of cadastre - a respected and important domain on which each economy relies on and which contributes to policymaking and implementation at national, regional and European level.

The Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union has decided that all events to be held this semester will be managed on a single registration / accreditation platform. Therefore, in order to register your participation, you should visit the following link:

Before filling in the required fields in the registration form, I invite you to carefully read the attached Practical Information Note (PIN) where you will also find useful information about the accommodation.

June is recognized as the most suitable time to visit the capital of Romania and I am sure that you will enjoy the lively Bucharest, its cultural life and cosmopolitan architecture!

I am looking forward to welcoming you in Bucharest!
